Hello everyone! I am back! Like finally.... hehe :p
This time I will talk about Salzburg which is located in
Austria.
Salzburg is the birth place of Mozart, and the born place of
Christmas songs (eg. Silent Night and Holy Night). The city is full of
attractions due to the great musician and also The Sound of Music.
(Please forgive me I am
lazy to write in Chinese this time.)
It is as beautiful as what I had expected. It is a must-visit
place! You can feel the warmth/friendliness of people, the sunshine, the
musical atmosphere and the beauty of historical architectures surrounded by the
breath-taking natural geological features (e.g. great mountains, lakes, etc.).
Salzburg (Austria), my first official solo-travel destination and
also the born place of the Sound of Music.
My friends always asked: "Why are you so excited and
determined to solo-travel to Salzburg even without any companion?"
Well, I am quite flexible and sometimes people will mistake me as
a person with no or less thoughts or own stand, however they are wrong. I will
do things that I strongly want to do, like solo-travelling. My friends who
dumped me (and joined me later at Vienna Austria) and went Budapest regretted
their choice not to follow me instead hahahaa...
Another main reason of course will be The Sound of Music! The hills
are alive....with the sound of music...la la la.... My favourite
childhood musical and the first one as well.......
In Salzburg, I found my childhood memories by following the
footsteps of Maria (Julie Andrew in reality) and the Von Trapp family. If you
are a crazy fan too, you will know what I am saying :)
These are the reasons why Salzburg Austria is so important to me
until the extent where I hope that there will never be bad memories which will
affect my feelings towards Salzburg during future visits (which is a must to
visit it again during summer time).
Why summer time? Because you can swim and dive in the lake! Sounds
so excited right? And take the old "tu-tu" train up to the historical
hotel at Salzburg’s mountain (which I forgot what the name is) located near an
impressively gorgeous lake, etc. All of these are impossible during winter
time. However, I am pretty satisfied with my experiences in the educational
salt mine tour. Thanks to our friendly tour guide who had introduced the lovely
Salzburg music to us too! The places outside city area are even mesmerizing
with the beauty of nature like mountains and lakes.
Salzburg’s houses are also cosy-looking with small plants on the
surface of their walls. The houses are either colourful or wooden wall with woods
piled up in their gardens, well not forgetting about the signature little bell hanging under the roof of each of the house. The tour guide told us that the bell was used to ask their family members back for lunch or dinner; he also told us another version which is the bell is to alert neighbours about theives, not sure which version to trust though. In whole, Salzburg's houses gives a
natural or greenish touch just like those drawn in our childhood’s story books.
I love it so so so so much! J How good if I can own one!
Last but not least, the final message here is:
I love Austria! :D Salzburg is indeed a place which makes me want
to bring my family here for a healthy and relaxing holiday :)
